About Sara Avant Stover
Sara Avant Stover is a pioneering teacher of feminine spirituality, author, Certified Internal Family Systems Practitioner, and abortion support advocate.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Columbia University’s all-women’s Barnard College. After a cancer scare in her early twenties, Sara moved to Thailand, where she embarked on a decade-long healing and spiritual odyssey throughout Asia.
Her own harrowing experience with an abortion several years ago (that she has since fully healed from) inspires this work today. Her teachings have uplifted the lives of tens of thousands of women worldwide, and she teaches at centers like Kripalu, 1440 Multiversity, and Shambhala Mountain Center. Healing from my abortion was one of the hardest things I ever did. And, in retrospect, it was also one of the very best things I ever did.
Why is that?
Well, it was through that healing process that I really learned how to make friends with my grief, anger (rage, even!), doubt, regret, depression, and so much more.
